As an avid BMW collector with a few M cars on hand, this I have to say looks alot like a bloody Toyota Camry from the rear. Front looks aggressive, but you can see their doing what Audi have done for years, and by that I mean kenetic design elements, from the new 1 series to Thai the fronts look similar.

Waaaay back in the day I had a 1.3L Suzuki Gti Swift that used up to 18L/100km in the city fanging around and as low as 5L/100km on the freeway in 5th gear, that was the most AND least fuel efficient car I've ever owned lol 😂

What's up with all that weight BMW!?!? You can't justify that weight with that green tech hybrid system that you pushing in to your cars, it's just stupid!!! The customers who are buying this performance vehicles don't give a F..... about the green tech!!! This folks are expecting from the M Badge pure performance with no hybrid bias!!!

WOW! That's absolutely incredible, it just makes you ask yourself, why isn't this the basic standard? And surely technology has advanced since the car was made? Shouldn't the norm be something like 200+mpg?

That green color is so much better than the grey color.. Would love to see this in bright red and bright turquoise blue and even in bright yellow or neon yellow.. Bright colors are what's wanted here in the USA.. 99% of all cars are boring grey, black or white..

Well, two surprises here. One is that this actually looks ok...compare to the dismal new 7 series, the XM, the X7...pleasant surprise. Now the unpleasant surprise comes as far as power... especially power per tonne which drops significantly from the past gen. Sprinting times also very uninspiring...but at 2400 kg this is no surprise. Maybe BMW needs to learn something from the new Porsche...

2.5 tons (and girth) was the reason for avoiding Panamera Turbo S. Now that M5 is bigger, heavier, why buy? Sticking with f90, M5 Comp.

I timed the 0-60 it’s around 3 sec

0-62 in 3.5 seconds. why do I need 2500kg and overly complicated technology for this? e.g. an RS3 weights 1560kg and goes to 62 in 3.4 seconds...

2024 M5 Comp: 625 Horsepower (V8 engine) 750 Feet Pound of Torque 1,865kg (4,111 pounds) 2025 M5: 577 Horsepower (V8 S68 engine) 553 Feet Pound of Torque 192 Electric Power 202 Feet Pound of Torque from Electric 2,435kg (5,368 pounds) The 2025 M5 is significantly heavier, for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, once you run out of your electric battery charge (25-mile range), you are left with only 577 V8 horsepower to push a 5,368-pound car. What a disaster! And the rest, I am not sure where to go with it. What is up with not having a gear lever? I don’t think BMW is listening to their customers and clients anymore. Every interview they feed us a bunch of BS and the interviewers are afraid to ask tough questions. The BMW may fool new buyers, but not the BMW enthusiasts and the people who are loyal to the brand. You can’t fool us. Cheap plastic door panels, plastic carbon fiber-looking paddle shifts, and no carbon fiber steering. Yet, all of which is available on the M3 and M4 models. The rear diffuser truly looks like an afterthought. And the front kidney grill is identical to the i5 M60. What is joke! And I am sure BMW has increased the price beyond any measure to match the rest of the model lineups.

So they add electric motors to add HP to the v8, but add so much weight that it pretty much negates it, while ruining the handling. Wow. The f90 was a legit supercar slayer but this is just not. I would have been happier with just the v8 by itself even if it came out to only 530 hp

Why is such an iconic super sedan (~$150,000) becoming more like, from the side & back, at 1:02, a superficially bulked up, ungainly $20,000 Nissan Sentra from the 1990s? The very stately & pronounced side molding of a 2024 Akrapovic M5 Stingray, for example, makes this 2025 M5 looking excessively cheap.
